Are Mediums real?

Hi, after all my experiences i have had i have decided to join a paranormal investigation team. My concern is the Medium within our team, how could i see if this person is a true medium or a fake, something deep down inside is telling me he is a fake.I take all of this seriously and want want anybody trying to con me into thinking its all real. For instance we had a club meeting and over the phone he said at the meeting i will show you all a trance state ( where a spirit will take over his body and communicate ) well im a sceptic on this anyway, but i really wasnt aware you could arrange this in advance lol. While at the meeting he did this and im not convinced in anyway this was real.

It sounds to me like this Medium of yours is a complete Arse, i would out him/her from any future work with you or your team !!
